There is only one week left in July.  As a gardener, I love the thought of August with the bounty of tomatoes and corn that really speak to me of summer.  On the other hand, August means school is not far behind.  I always feel an urgency to cram in as much fun as I can before the more scheduled life of September.  Perhaps you are the organized teacher who has your first week all planned, copies made and tucked away, and the classroom needing just the unpacking at the end of August.  Could it be that circumstances make August more challenging?  Are you switching grades, moving schools, or just starting out for the first time or maybe after the birth of a child?  Are you caring for an aging parent, putting a child in college for the first time, recovering from an illness, or any of the millions of things that occur in life?

Celebrate once more with NJAKE before school activities intrude on your summer life.  We have one workshop left at the beginning of August.  You will have to act NOW if you want to attend our Summer Institute, because no one will be accepted at the door.  We attached our flier for the last time, and you can sign up, too, at www.njake.net.

Our newsletter and registration cards are being mailed to you, so look for them to come to you soon.  There are many reasons for you to register for NJAKE and we will be talking about them during the month.  So sign up for the Summer Institute and check your mailbox for the registration card and newsletter.  You are important to us and can’t wait to see you!
